Welcome

The origins of the French National Conservatory of Music, and later of Dance, date back to the 18th century. The conservatory was originally situated in Paris.

The project to create a second national conservatory in Lyon in the 1980 denoted a deliberate policy of decentralisation and was characterised by a considerable broadening of the teaching approach.
