The Conservatoire National Supérieur Musique et Danse de Lyon offers several courses of study.
- undergraduate courses (3 years) leading to the Diplôme National Supérieur Professionnel de Musicien (DNSPM) and a bachelor’s degree in music in partnership with the Université Lumière Lyon 2; – master’s courses (2 years) leading to a ‘grade de master’ diploma (which are officially recognised as being equivalent to a university master’s degree); * one joint master’s programme: CoPeCo (Contemporary Performance and Composition) – 2nd group of students 2016-2018 – two doctorate-level programmes: * research and practice doctorate (3 years) in partnership with the 3LA Doctorate School of Lyon 2 University * « Artist Diploma » (1 year), consisting of a personal, pre-approved artistic project.
- undergraduate course (1 preparatory year + 3 years) leading to the Diplôme National Supérieur Professionnel de Danseur (DNSPD) and a bachelor’s degree in the performing arts (‘Arts du spectacle’) in partnership with the Université Lumière Lyon 2 ; – Dance teacher-training course – FDCA Danse.
Requests received after the deadline will not be accepted. The deadlines for returning applications are mandatory but they refer to the date of posting and not to the date when they reach the CNSMD.
Candidates are strongly recommended to send their application forms by registered post. Complaints in respect of the reception of an application will only be considered if supported by proof of postage of a registered letter or by another official document proving that the document was sent.
Dates of audition sessions are subject to modification.
All auditions take place at the Lyon CNSMD:
- 3 quai Chauveau 69009 Lyon (for music)
- 6 quai Saint-Vincent 69001 Lyon (for dance).
All candidates must come to Lyon. The Conservatory does not provide housing or meals for candidates.
